POSITION SUMMARY
Reporting to the Associate Director of Student Financial Services, the Federal Student Worker processes payments, provides customer assistance and provides basic administrative support to the department. Students who are hired must be eligible for the Federal Work Study program.

Position-Specific Responsibilities
- Working knowledge of FERPA regulations and requirements.
- Coordinate and fulfill all administrative tasks and communication to students, faculty or staff members.
- Greet students and inform the department of guest’s arrival.
- Make or answer phone calls and provide basic information. Escalate calls as needed.
- Assist customers with inquiries and provide helpful, accurate information about Student Financial Services.
- Learn and apply federal regulations pertaining to financial aid.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure departmental goals are met.
- Complete other duties as assigned to support the department's operations as assigned by the Associate Director of SFS.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Enrolled in at least a part-time load as a student (6 hours undergraduate/graduate and 2 hours doctoral) at The King’s University
Competencies
- Experience using Microsoft and Apple software.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to problem-solve.
- Willingness and ability to learn and adapt to new systems and technologies
- Ability to multi-task
- Criminal Background Verification.
